It's been Months!

Hey everyone,
I am looking at my blog now and can't even believe that it's been 8 months since my last post!
How in the world have I walked off and haven't been active on almost anything?!
Well, I do think that it's because after the last Christmas season I was overwhelmed by all the work I had, and it being all custom work, it really worn me out, physically and mentally. So I took a long vacation and then kind of resigned on getting back to work.
But now, and I have to say it's definitely partly the pregnancy (check out my blog www.katespregnancystories.blogspot.com), that I am regaining my enthusiasm and enjoyment from making art. So I will be sharing new things with you and will do my best to stick with it! :)
Here are just a couple of things for the start that I would like to share...

Mr. Pug - 5x7 watercolor

My cousin with her newborn son, Chris - 5x7 marker and coloring pencils cartoon

Portrait of a horse - 11x14 dry pastels

Painted shell - acrylics, sealed with a UV protective glossy varnish

Chihuahua loves a cookie - 5x7 acrylics
This is an older piece, but I love it!

So leave me some comments, I would appreciate to know that you stopped by and that I am not completely forgotten even though I totally deserve it! Thanks : )

Paint Party Friday - Painted Ornaments

Hi everyone, it's been forever since I've participated in just about anything. It was very busy with moving from Florida to Delaware and then finding and preparing our new place. I can say though - God's been great and His blessings are endless. So here I am, posting from our new house and I feel trully, trully blessed. This is for http://paintpartyfriday.blogspot.com

And I'm going to share with you my ornaments, there are done to order and it's been a lot of fun, and a lot of hard work.

Enjoy!

I hope you like them (and if intereted in having your own, sure contact me on Kate(dot)art(at)live.com)

Have a great weekend!

Greetings from Wilmington, DE

Hi everyone! Sorry for not being around for such a long time. You might be wondering why I wasn't active on here AT ALL.

Well, as some of you may know, my hubby and I lived in Florida last year. At the beginning of this past summer, we moved up to Delaware, and for four months lived at his parents' house and were working on renovating a small house that was offered to us for low rent (all this was such a blessing!). Now, we've been in our new home for a little over a week. It's been wonderful and so rewarding after all the hard work that had to be put into it.
(I will share pictures with you soon!)

So, not being able to unpack my art for four months, you can probably understand that it was quite difficult to just work. Now, slowly I am getting everything out off the boxes and looking forward to really get back into it all! (and also, I just really have to, because I am getting some wonderful Christmas orders and I don't want to keep my customers waiting).

From the little bit that I've done so far (being limited, I worked some on my drawing tablet... for that I really needed only a paper to sketch, camera to take a picture, and then my laptop and the tablet to work it all out), I can show you these few vector illustrations.

Owls playing Stare down

Kids arguing over whose turtle is faster and setting up a race to prove it!
The Violin Player

And I am getting back to custom portraits...

And for UniquelyEquine.com I'm preparing these offers (some are active already).

Painted Ornaments

Painted Stones

Painted Shells

Painted Wooden Plaques (various shapes available)

So that's about what is in my offer and I am looking forward to pull out everything I need to get into this! Please, pray that this is possible very soon and I can start working full time. (or at least part time). Thank you :)

And if you are interested in owning a piece like some of those I showed you, feel free to contact me! Kate(dot)art(at)live(dot)com

Have a great day, and a great rest of the week!
Love you all!

I am back!!!! ...and bringing some treats :)

Hi everyone, this summer has been so busy! We moved from Florida to Delaware, and we've been working on renovating this one house where we intend to live for the next couple of years :) And as you can imagine, being still jobless, and money still flowing out, it hasn't been easy and we kind of need help... :/

So if you like some of my new things and wouldn't mind helping through purchasing some of them - and even better, spreading the word - we would greatly appreciate it...

Here are some of the things I am really into...

Custom portraits of you and family or friends.. :) When you click, it will take you to my page where you can find out more about these deals.
Mini portraits are one of my little treats for you. Drawn pretty quickly (so that you can have them in one day when you order) and I will send them to your email. You can print them out, or you can post them on your facebook... As simple as that :)

My Puppy series is still running! There are many many many drawings (all originals) to pick from! Please take a look at the store section here.

This right here is my newest addition!!! As I went to one beach in New Jersey and found sooo many of these, I couldn't resist and brought a lot of them home to paint them. I am starting of with what fits sea shells the best - beach themes. Take a note on how large these are! And they are very sturdy and I think that a chance of breaking is extremely low. They will make a beautiful addition to any beach-lover's collection! Click to see the offer on my ebay.

And last but not least. :)

I have these little stones available online too. And they are (I  sure hope) a good price :) Click to see!

Time to go. (moving again)

Good thursday morning to you all! :)
I thought that I should share this with you too. My hubby and I have lived in Pensacola, FL for the past 10 months, now it's time for us to move again. We were here for Nate's college, he was finishing up his bacherol's degree in pastoral and ministeral studies, and he graduated - successfully!!! :) Praise God! I know that it was a hard year for him too as it was for me - for him doing school and going to work and trying to also be with me (love him!!!) and for me - being cut away from almost all society and at home, at home, at home. lol. Well we are to move to Delaware which I am really looking forward to! If everything goes well, we will gain a great place to live. It still needs some work done on it before we can move into it, but it's basically a 2+1 WITH an attic that will do great as my studio! It's so exciting! Oh and the house is in a pretty neighbourhood (in my opinion) and has a quite large backyard, which also makes me pretty happy. Two reasons - I want to have a little garden and grown tomatos etc, but also - if we have a dog, or if I foster puppies, it will provide the right type of space! :)
Otherwise, the real reasons I am looking forward to this move are - Nate's family right there and his amazing church. It will be really wonderful and I can't wait for all the people. I never had a chance to spend much time in that area but I already have good friends there. It will be so great to meet up! :)

So, I might not be able to blog or anything else for a couple of weeks. Our move is on June 6th, so it's coming really close. We have moved most of our things when Nate's parents came for his graduation, they brought a van and took almost everything from us, lol. THANK YOU!!

If you find a moment and the will to pray for us, we will appreciate it very much! :)
(please, pray for our move, and that we both find jobs. There are a few places near where we'll live that I could maybe work at, and as they are short distance that I could go there by bike, it would be the best. We won't have two cars and I can't drive anyway lol. I just finished an application for PETco. That would be really nice if it turned out. If not, hopefully something else around there. If nothing turns out even this time, I will stay home, work on my piano skills, song-writing, singing, and my ever-art) So... whatever turns out to be the reality, will be great and worth it. All of it just needs prayers.

Have a great thursday and then a great weekend, everyone!
God bless you!
